School vision and values

The school Christian vision that underpins all of our decisions and actions is:

Through faith, love, kindness and respect .....our St John's family will flourish and grow.

It has it's Biblical origins in John 15, when Jesus told the people "I am the vine you are the branches". He preached that if they followed the teachings of God then they would succeed; they would flourish and grow. 

The children of St John's helped Miss Strachan to devise an image to match this vision. They also devised actions to go with the vision when they say it every day in whole school worship. This is the visual representation of the vision that the children collectively devised.

The 4 school values that are embedded into every aspect of school life for us all are:

Faith, Love, Kindness and Respect.

Showing these values within our daily lives adheres to the  Christian teachings of Jesus and makes the world a better place for everybody.
