Intent
At St John's Infant School, science is an integral part of our curriculum. It is our intent to create a curriculum that is broad and balanced, inclusive and engaging for all pupils.
Implementation
At St John's Infant School:
Impact
At St John's Infant School we aspire for all children to achieve their best and develop skills that they can apply across the curriculum.

Challenge in science
We provide challenge for children in every lesson. This could be through a task, specific questioning or in the form of a differentiated extension task. We want to allow every child to reach their potential.
We will also be introducing Forest School activities where the children will get to explore a natural environment and take part in nature based activities.
We will also ensure that the children are taking part in simple experiments to enhance their science curriculum.

How can you support your children in science?
Some links below with ideas of games and ideas to help you support your child. The most important thing is to get them thinking scientifically – asking questions and being curious about the world. Talk to them about science in your homes and in the media. If you need any further support please let me know.
