School Refurbishment
St John’s CE Infant School has welcomed pupils and families back to a transformed school environment following a major £100,000 refurbishment programme completed over the summer.
The investment has created brighter, more welcoming and more practical spaces across the school, with improvements designed to enhance the experience of children, families and staff for years to come.
St John’s CE Infant School has welcomed pupils and families back to a transformed school environment following a major £100,000 refurbishment programme completed over the summer.
The investment has created brighter, more welcoming and more practical spaces across the school, with improvements designed to enhance the experience of children, families and staff for years to come.
A key part of the project has been the creation of a new school entrance and the relocation of the school office, providing a much warmer and more professional welcome for families and visitors. The changes have also helped improve the layout and day-to-day operation of the school.
Across the building, significant redecoration and new flooring have given classrooms and communal spaces a fresh new feel. The Year 2 area has also been improved through the removal of the former mezzanine, helping to create a more open, flexible and accessible learning environment.
The school hall has been refurbished, providing an improved space for collective worship, assemblies, lunches, performances and the many other activities that bring the school community together.
Further improvements have included new fencing and work to the wider school environment, helping to make the site feel safer, smarter and more welcoming.
The refurbishment represents a significant investment in the future of St John’s and forms part of our wider commitment to ensuring that children learn in environments in which they can feel safe, belong and flourish.
Headteacher Beki Edwards said: “It has been wonderful to welcome the children back into such an improved environment. The changes have made a real difference to the feel of the school and have created spaces that our children, families and staff can be proud of.
“We are incredibly excited about the year ahead and about continuing to build on everything that makes St John’s such a special community.”
The transformation marks an exciting new chapter for St John’s and provides a strong foundation as the school continues to develop and grow.
