What have we been up to?
This term the children enjoyed learning about new life and minibeasts. We all went on a minibeast hunt around the whole school and noted down what we found before writing about it. We also created lots of fantastic art relating to the very hungry Caterpillar story before watching 5 real caterpillars grow and then form their cocoons, ready to turn into beautiful butterflies.
We used this exciting topic to produce a display in class consisting of writing, role-play and photographs.
We were also lucky to get to visit St John's Church. The church has not been open for many years so the children decided to fill the church with their beautiful singing prayers. All of the children got to have a look all around the church and were invited to come back and join a service whenever they could.
This term we also completed an around the world week, where the children learnt about different countries, tasting new foods, learning traditional dances and again making some fantastic art.
Finally, this term the children have enjoyed keeping themselves fit and healthy in the outside area. The outside water area is being used by all children very enthusiastically! The maths and vocabulary opportunities within the outdoor area have also helped the children to really improve their number and writing skills throughout the term. Well done Rabbit Class!
