Term 3

Term 3 has been very busy for Rabbit Class and we have all enjoyed learning lots of new skills! Our topic for the term was ‘traditional tales’, Rabbit Class learnt all about the Billy Goats Gruff tale and even wrote their own storyboards. We made our own billy goats gruff split pin puppets and used them in our builders role play area! The children really enjoyed baking their own gingerbread men and using play dough to make their own gingerbread outfits. The children loved using the large wooden blocks to build bridges in the builders yard and did a great job at fixing things around the classroom!

Our power of reading text for this term was ‘Bedtime for Monsters’. The children really enjoyed creating their own monsters out of 2D shapes and decorating their own monster outlines with lots of different materials. The children wrote lots of lovely sentences about their own monsters and have all been practising their name writing. In maths this term, we have been learning all about addition and how we can use objects to help us add two groups together. The children really enjoyed using the ladybird spots to help them with their counting and we even squeezed in some time to practise our number formation!
