Rabbit Class have had a great second term and I have really enjoyed watching their learning flourish. We have all been on lots of exciting trips and taken part in some great activities to further our learning. This term, Rabbit Class learnt all about remembrance day and why it so important to pay our respects. Each child decorated a lovey poppy for our school wreath and we walked it down to Victoria Park to take our 2 minutes silence, we even had a soldier come in and answer all of our questions! The run up to Christmas has been an exciting time and all of Rabbit Class did great in our school Nativity at St Johns Church. Everybody loved exploring our Christmas writing area and making candy cane cards for their loved ones. We had two fantastic theatre trips this term and we all enjoyed having a tub of ice cream!
Our power of reading books this term were 'Biscuit Bear' and 'Blue Penguin', all of the children enjoyed exploring these texts and created some fantastic pieces of work. The children took part in a cooking lesson to bake their own biscuit bears and even made him a new outfit! The children loved learning about Antarctica and making their own blue penguins from toilet tubes! In Maths this term we have been continuing to explore numbers to 20 and have been practicing to find one more/less than. The children have enjoyed using the compare bears in their maths lessons and even used the outside playground to help them with their learning!
It has been a great term and I hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas break!
