Term 2
Space & Christmas
This term we have been busy learning all about space. We wrote our own factfiles about the first person to land on the Moon...Neil Armstrong. We have created stories, postcards and posters about the moon. We also designed and wrote about our own alien! Our reading has really improved this term as we are making great progress with our online Accelerated Reader scheme.
In our maths classes, we learnt about the different coins and notes we use. We had fun solving lots of different money word problems...I think we may have some future bankers on our hands! We have also been busy learning multiplication and division facts for the 2, 5 and 10 times tables. We need to keep practising these facts so we can speedily solve word problems.
What else happened this Term?
We have had a really fun, busy term celebrating Christmas. We were lucky enough to attend two pantomimes: Beauty and the Beast and a cute animal panto at the Brook theatre.
In class, we have been very creative sewing stockings for Christmas and creating calendars for next year.
One of our favourite things this Christmas was putting on a nativity play at St John's Church in Chatham for all of our adults to watch. Our other favourite thing was Father Christmas visiting us!
Merry Christmas everyone!
