Toys and Christmas!
Squirrel Class have all worked really hard this term and have produced some fantastic pieces of work! In Topic we have been exploring past and present toys and have all had a go at drawing our favourite toy. In Maths we have been focussing on addition and subtraction and exploring the different ways we can solve sums! The children have also explored 2D and 3D shapes! In English we have been looking at the story 'Where the Wild Things Are', the children really enjoyed creating their own scary monsters out of clay! Squirrel Class have also been looking at 'describing words' and how to use these in a sentence to make their writing more exciting!
And of course, we have done lots of Christmas activities! All of the children enjoyed making Christmas tree decorations, snowmen and cards with their family during our arts afternoon! We had a lovely school trip to the theatre where the children watched 'Archie the Mouse'. We had lots of fun decorating the classroom and making really really long paper chains in Art! Squirrel Class thoroughly enjoyed learning their songs for the Nativity and sung them beautifully.
