Squirrel Class have all worked really hard this term and have produced some fantastic pieces of work! In maths this term we have been learning about addition and subtraction, counting 1 more and 1 less and 3D shapes. Everyone had lots of fun making their own 3D shapes!
One of the books we focussed on this term was ‘The Queen’s hat’. We found out where the queen lives, designed a new hat for the Queen and wrote a letter to the Queen. We also learnt about fairy tales that have a start, a middle and an ending.
In Geography we learnt about the different seasons and different types of weather. We went for a nice autumn walk to the local park and looked at the different colours of the leaves of the trees.
We have had an amazing time doing lots of different Christmas activities. All of the children enjoyed making Christmas cards, Christmas candles and calendars. They also have lots of fun decorating the Christmas tree and writing letters to Santa.
Squirrel class really enjoyed the Christmas service at the church all did amazing singing! They also had lots of fun at the Christmas disco and going to 2 wonderful Christmas pantos! It has been great to see the children make such good progress this term. I hope you all have a great Christmas break and look forwarding to seeing everyone back in school in January.
