Letter from CEO
Dear Parents,
It has been another very busy term where the children have continued to thrive and learn. I would like to pass on to you our thanks for all that you do to support your children with their learning.
As the impact of Covid has lessened we are now able to return to our pre-Covid opening times. From the 19th April 2022, the school day will begin at 8:45 and end at 3:15. We will open the gate by the office for early doors admissions from 8:30. These children will go into the school playground or hall and join the breakfast club children until they are sent to their classes. We will open the usual class gates at 8:40. We will then be able to start teaching promptly at 8:45.
Breakfast club will continue to be available from 8am for those who register to attend. The gate will be open from 8am to 8:10 for those wanting breakfast. If a child registered for breakfast club arrives after that time, they will be admitted by ringing the bell and Mrs Barlow will let them in.
These changes are being made after feedback from parents and to help those who also have children at Balfour Juniors.
It is very important that children arrive at school promptly for the start of the school day and come to school every day. We pack a lot of learning into each day and missing just one breaks the continuity of their learning.
Finally, but by no means least, I would like to wish you a relaxing and enjoyable Easter break - hopefully with warmer weather than today.
